I was privilaged to take part in 4 days leadership where I was inspired by hardwork and the potential that God has given me, a lot seemed to be good in my leadership, because i was exercising my abilities. Furthermore the schedule consisted of activities and ministries like:
Monday
Kids ministry. This was a happy and fun ministry, we extended God's love to the kids through Drama, songs and English classes to improve the kids communication skills in English, but however we conjucted with some people who helped us translate to the kids and the ministry ended with giving out snacks.
One on one conversations with stephan an Anna. One on one is a moment where there is interaction between staff and student with aims of knowing how you’re doing, growth points in outreach and also encouraging one to step out in his or her responsibilities. Anna and Stephan had their one on one conversations with Geerte and Femke.
Tuesday
Prison ministry. In Indonesia prison ministry is one of the ministries that we engage with, we visited a prison and we showed the prisoners brotherly love, through activities we did: like games, drama and a testimony by Lisanne which motivated them. We ended the ministry with snacks, sharing stories and praying.
Team time(worship moment).This is one of the things that unite us and also to have time with God, it was also organised to encourage one another.
Wednesday
Soccer ministry was so amazing where I learnt that we praise God while doing sports. Furthermore we played soccer with the kids, which was so nice and we concluded acting a skit of the machine which implied that we need one another since we are one body of christ and the kids liked it.
Faith day: Alinda, Nicole and Lisanne didn’t join the soccer ministry, because they helped out with lunch preparations, so they did their faith afternoon. Faith day is a day that grooms one to have more faith, because of what transpires.
Entertainment. This was always done after ministry during our time together with the team to have fun organised by Nick, Anna and Alinda, they are in charge of special events.
Thursday
Base intercession. Since we were housed by the Indonesian base, we had to take part in activites like morning chores to clean the base and many others but we had base intercession where we prayed for China because of the Coronavirus.
Evaluation for the soccer ministry and faith day. This was done after ministry with the aim of making correction in what didn’t go on well during ministry, but the voices were positive.
Prophetic act and prayerwalk.
We often did a prophetic act, where one asked the Holy Spirit about what he or she was going to prophecy about someone and we also did the prayer walk with the aim of praying for more manifestation of God's presence in places around the base.
Lecture about culture shock by Dwanye, one of the base leaders of UofN Bali. This was given with the aim of making us aware of the do's and the donts in order to live in harmony and peace since ywam core values are international.
I learnt that leadership works effectively when you work together. Be blessed.
