10-12-2019 Youth Prison

Remember the fact that almost no one of our team is a morning person? We had to be ready at 6.30 am downstairs, to drive towards the prison, by the way: it was a 3 hour drive - so we could sleep on the way as well. That was quite comforting.

From the outside the prison was a beautiful building and from the inside you could really see it was for the youth, because there were pictures of Spongebob, Pikachu and Tom & Jerry. The boys were all excited that we were there. Also a beautiful thing we saw is, how supporting these guys were to each other. They all know why they are there and you could really sense that they comfort each other through difficult times.

Testimony of Nick:
One of the first ministries we did, was at a youth prison. We shared about Christmas and what is means to us, we also shared about Jesus! After sharing about Christmas and Jesus, we got into small groups. The boys could ask questions if they had them, they also shared a bit about how these boys got there. You could really see the openness for God and Jesus! We could pray for them and it was a true blessing to be there and share about Jesus.

After the ministry, we went to eat at a beautiful beach in Karangasem. We had lots of fun!
